It's time to learn Foundational Hand Calligraphy

The course is divided into 2 parts:

18 Sessions

- Drills for Full-arm Hand Movement (with pencil)

- Intro to the Pilot Parallel Pen

- Drills with the PPP

- Basic Strokes

- Letters of Foundational Hand

- Writing Words

18+6 Sessions

- Making artworks from scratch

- Letters that can be used as capitals with FH

- Flourishes

- Blending colours

- Making Patterns

The weekly class schedule will be:

Knowledge Session

Tuesday (7-8 pm)

Friday (7-8 pm)

Practice Session

Thursday (Timings based on everyone’s availability)

for at least 3 months after the class

What more you can expect:

More of a study group than a workshop

The idea here is to learn. So it’ll not be time-bound like a workshop. But more like a study group where we’ll learn within a span of at least 2 months.

Study Material

You'll get tonnes of practice sheets and calligraphy books. In the end, you'll be equipped to learn all broad-edged scripts.

One-on-one Feedback

I'll see your progress through practice sessions and a WhatsApp group to give you wholesome feedback.

Ability to Self-critique

With mindful practice techniques, you'll be able to pick out and correct your mistakes.

What materials do you need?

All you need to have is a Pilot Parallel Pen (3.8 or 6mm) and the will to learn. Rest is on me.

Apart from this,

Any printer paper would work as long as it doesn’t bleed. My recommendation would be JK Cedar Printing Paper (INR 370)

The pen comes with 2 cartridges. These will run out soon. But you can use any fountain pen ink to refill them. I recommend Parker Quink Ink (INR 90).

If you are looking for coloured options, you can go for Camlin Photo colour Inks (INR 460).
